#ThisIsMe
#THISiSME is a movement that designs educational opportunities that empower women and girls to boldly elevate their voices and claim their space in the world by changing their personal narratives. Born of a vacancy in modern education, #THISiSME is a response to the growing urgency to address social media’s impact on the rise of social emotional health issues such as anxiety, depression, and negative body image in women and girls. Selfies, likes, follows, filters, and hashtags have created a dangerous culture of comparison. After 20 years in the classroom, Dr. Shantel Scott, has seen the changes in the mental health of students firsthand. #THISiSME seeks to educate, reframe, and expand the global conversation surrounding social emotional learning. #THISiSME wants every woman and girl to boldly be her real, unfiltered self. It all begins with a renewed #SELFIE mindset!
